
Third Annual CAMA Teen Bike Rally June 14th, 2008 June 14, 2008 Twin Lakes Park, Paris, IL It was a crisp clear morning to celebrate the start of the Third Annual CAMA Teen Bike Rally. The Expert Riders began from Twin Lakes Park at 7:00 AM for a 72 miles Tour de Park, through Edgar to Clark Counties. By 8AM over 60 riders were pedal to pedal on the black top, back roads of east central Illinois.
“Our weather couldn’t have been better” said Carrie Miller Event Coordinator, for CAMA, Inc CAMA had four new bike routes this year: 6, 25, 40, and 72 miles, every age group had an opportunity to participate. Tom and Bailey Johnson, a father, daughter team from Paris, IL road the six mile route, Bailey, 7 years old, was one of our youngest riders. “It was a great day!” Elliot Minge the CAMA Teen president said. The CAMA Teens look to this bike rally every year as a fundraiser to support the CAMA Teen program through the school year. The support from the community was outstanding; from EMT’s to The Fire truck escort, we are very happy. We want to send out a special thank you to the Ham radio operators of Indiana and Illinois for a job well done and to all who those who helped make the bike rally a success.
